1. Information We Collect

LeMay Publishing collects the following categories of personal information:

Account Information: Name, email address, and profile image when you create an account via Google authentication or email sign-in.

Author Information: Author name, biography, and author page content provided by authors who publish with us.

Manuscript Content: The text of manuscripts submitted through our submission portal, including any associated metadata (title, synopsis, category domain, category).

Payment Information: Payment details processed through Stripe for purchases and royalty payouts. LeMay Publishing does not store credit card numbers directly.

Usage Data: Standard web analytics data including pages visited, time spent, and reading progress.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information for the following purposes:

Editorial Services: Submitted manuscripts are accessed by our editorial team for the purpose of performing editorial enhancement. Manuscripts are not shared with third parties.

Publication and Distribution: Author names, biographical information, and publication content are published and distributed as part of our publishing services.

Payment Processing: Financial information is used to process purchases and to remit royalty payments to authors.

Communications: Email addresses are used to communicate submission status, publication milestones, royalty statements, and service updates.

Platform Improvement: Usage data is analyzed in aggregate to improve our services.

3. Data Sharing

LeMay Publishing does not sell personal information. We share data only with the following categories of service providers:

Payment Processing: Stripe processes payments and royalty disbursements.

Authentication: Google provides authentication services for users who choose Google sign-in.

Fulfillment: Shipping information for physical orders is shared with our fulfillment partner for order delivery.

Hosting: Our platform is hosted on Vercel. Data is stored in PostgreSQL databases.

4. Manuscript Data

Submitted manuscripts are stored securely and accessed solely for the purpose of editorial enhancement and publication production. We do not use submitted manuscripts for any purpose other than the services described in our Terms of Service and Publishing Agreement. Authors may request deletion of unpublished manuscripts at any time by contacting us.

5. Data Retention

Account information is retained for the duration of the account. Published content is retained for the term of the Publishing Agreement and for archival purposes thereafter. Declined submissions are retained for 90 days and then deleted. Payment records are retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to: access your personal information, correct inaccurate information, request deletion of your account and associated data (subject to contractual obligations), export your data in a standard format, and opt out of non-essential communications.

7. Security

LeMay Publishing implements industry-standard security measures to protect personal information, including encrypted data transmission (TLS), encrypted data storage, access controls, and regular security assessments. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
